Managing multiple forms across sites
FormStatus was built with agencies and developers in mind—especially those managing dozens or even hundreds of WordPress websites. When you're responsible for that many forms, keeping everything running smoothly can be a challenge. These tips will help you stay organized and proactive as you support your clients.
Use clear and consistent naming
When adding forms to FormStatus, use a naming convention that helps you quickly identify what the form is for and which site it belongs to. For example, include the client name or domain and form purpose like "clientname - contact" or "website.com - booking form."
This makes your dashboard easier to scan and reduces the chance of confusion—especially as your list of monitored forms grows.
Schedule periodic manual reviews
While FormStatus runs daily automated checks, it's a good habit to manually review key forms on a regular basis—especially after plugin updates or site changes. A quick test ensures everything is working and gives you peace of mind.
Setting a reminder each month to spot-check high-traffic or critical forms can save you from bigger issues later on.
Disable unused or temporary forms
If a form is no longer active—such as one created for a past campaign or seasonal offer—you can disable testing for that form in FormStatus. This keeps your list more focused on what matters most and reduces unnecessary test activity.
You can always re-enable the test if the form becomes active again.
Include form monitoring in client communications
Let your clients know that their forms are actively monitored. If a test fails, you’ll be alerted right away and can take action—often before they notice anything is wrong. This builds trust and helps reinforce the value of your maintenance service.
Use audit logs for internal tracking
Each test run, whether manual or automated, is recorded in the audit log. This allows you to look back at test history and demonstrate reliability over time.
If you provide clients with reports, you can reference these logs to show consistent performance or highlight any resolved issues.
