Enabling or disabling a test run in FormStatus
In FormStatus, you can easily control whether a form is being actively tested. This is helpful when performing maintenance, making updates, or simply pausing testing on forms you’re not currently using.
How to disable a test run
Disabling a test will stop all automated and manual test activity for that form.
Steps:
- Log in to your FormStatus dashboard.
- Go to the Forms tab.
- Find the form you'd like to pause testing for.
- Toggle the switch to off under Enable Test.
Once disabled, the form will no longer appear in scheduled test runs, and any manual test buttons will be deactivated.
How to enable a test run
You can turn testing back on at any time.
Steps:
- In the Forms tab, locate the form you previously disabled.
- Toggle the switch to on under Enable Test.
Once enabled, FormStatus will resume daily automated checks and allow you to run manual tests.
When should I disable testing?
Here are a few scenarios where disabling form testing may be useful:
- You're actively editing or redesigning the form.
- You want to prevent false alerts during plugin/theme updates.
- The form is no longer used, but you want to retain its history.
- You're investigating conflicts with other plugins or performance issues.
